Our refund and exchange policies explained🤓

A lot of you are long time customers and have your sizing worked out with us, but as we have lots of new customers joining up each week, I thought I'd have a quick run through of our policies here.


If by any chance a garment you purchase from us doesn't fit correctly, you have 2 choices- exchange for another size or return for a refund. In both cases, the garment needs to be shipped back to us within 7 days of receiving, not washed or worn. We had a customer a couple of years ago contact us to say she had been wearing our short sleeve wrap top for 18 months and had just recently decided that the neckline wasn't revealing enough cleavage 😉- could she return it for a refund? After 18 months, the answer was " Um, nooooo!" So now we're firm on 7 days from receiving 😆


In either case, please ship the garment back to the address on your invoice in a satchel that fits the garment. You would be surprised how many people have tried to shove a dress or yoga pants in a tiny bag! Better still, reuse the compostable satchel that your item has been shipped to you in. There is a 2nd adhesive strip and opening instructions on the satchel for this purpose. This saves you money and the environment 🌿


When returning your item for an exchange or return, you must email us a tracking number. We work in a rural area, so do not have Australia Post deliveries. This requires us to pick up returned goods from the post office as we are dropping off orders (we are finding the carding/notification system rather unreliable at the moment 🙄).



Because we base our sizing on Australian standards, we have an extremely low return/exchange rate. And due to our thorough (read OCD 😆) quality control measures, we have never had a garment return for quality issues.


Just a few tips when ordering to reduce the need to exchange or return a Lahay garment-

  • If unsure of your size, please just order 1 garment! It is then just 1 garment that needs to be shipped back and restocked in our system😉, not 1 x size 12, 1 x size 14 and 1 x size 16 that were ordered, just in case one of them fitted😁
  • When trying on our yoga pants, please make sure that the waistband is folded down over the pants (it is folded correctly when shipped to you). This ensures a nice, snug fit. If you are one of the many people who are in between sizes, choose the smaller size when ordering. This style relies on the fold over waistband to hold them up, (not elastic like our leggings) so we want them staying up🫢This soft waistband is what makes this style sooooo comfy, with loads of 5 ⭐reviews.
  • Pleeease, send the garment back nicely folded! We don't expect them to be exactly the same as how we ship but they should be folded. Doing this every day, we are now expert folders🥇, but we have literally had dresses rolled up and posted back to us. With cotton jersey fabric, this can actually stretch the fabric out of shape. This will result in us having to iron the garment again to restock and if damage is caused by the rolling, we will not be able to issue an exchange or refund.

So to sum up.....you are absolutely welcome to exchange or ask for a refund for any garment that you receive from us that doesn't fit quite right! Please keep in mind though that we are a small, handmade business, not Myer 😀
